Deanmore Primary School requires a new Canteen Manager for our brand new, state-of-the-art canteen, to start in February 2011. This is a 16 hour per week (Monday, Thursday, Friday) position.

The position requires the successful applicant to be versed in all aspects of running a primary school canteen, including liaising with suppliers and managing volunteers.

The Canteen Manager is also responsible for overseeing the management of the Canteen Assistant and working with the Parents and Citizens Association of Deanmore Primary School who are the employers.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

• Federal Police clearance and Working With Children check
• TAFE qualifications in Canteen Management, or similar, including food handling.
• Previous experience of at least twelve months in a similar role
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to relate to children.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Honesty and reliability.
• Driver’s license, reliable car and phone.
• Flexibility (desirable)

Casual Restaurant, Tea Room and Caterer’s Award (level 3) wages will be offered to the right applicant.
