Unfortunately we will have to cancel the planned site visit to the new Deanmore by interested P&C members this Tuesday morning at 8:45am.

We will arrange another time with PACT in the near future.

The new Deanmore is now taking shape and our Principal, Mrs Metcalf has extended an invitation to P&C members to take a walk through the new buildings.

If you would like to take a walk around the new Deanmore school site please meet at the school office on Tuesday morning (August 3^rd)  at 8:45am.

A bunch of updates for the web site for the new term:

Lastly, the Walking School Bus page has been removed from the navigation menu as it is no longer running. If anyone is interested in starting a new walking school bus route, please contact Robyn Attwell on 9341 5189 for more information.

The position requires the successful applicant to be versed in all aspects of running a primary school canteen, including liaising with suppliers and managing volunteers.

The Canteen Manager is also responsible for overseeing the management of the Canteen Assistant and working with the Parents and Citizens Association of Deanmore Primary School who are the employers.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

• Federal Police clearance and Working With Children check
• TAFE qualifications in Canteen Management, or similar, including food handling.
• Previous experience of at least twelve months in a similar role
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to relate to children.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Honesty and reliability.
• Driver’s license, reliable car and phone.
• Flexibility (desirable)

Casual Restaurant, Tea Room and Caterer’s Award (level 3) wages will be offered to the right applicant.
